Yours is a brave stand, Jen. You're asking good questions.

Finding answers is very challenging when so little reported is objective in any believable sense, on both sides. So much of politics is theatre, but after the show, we still have to go out into the cold night, pay our bills and navigate the world these leaders have crafted for us.

I teach that the answers people seek - to pretty much everything - lie in the patterns we observe. "By their deeds we know them", etc. Not by their words, but by their actions.

My observations: economic indicators suggest that prior to the pandemic, Americans were doing better than they are now. If I was a voter in the upcoming election, I'd want to know what changes Kamala intends to oversee to bring that relative prosperity back. What patterns would she change? Unless she outlines these things, we have to guess. Until voters get those specifics, can they even hope that anything will be better?
